My lessons are fun, friendly and effective. I pride myself on individualising lessons to suit the learner with brain breaks as necessary.
Lessons build on prior knowledge and introduce new leaning which is then applied and revised. I use a variety of teaching and learning techniques, to keep learners engaged. This might involve pictures and films to inspire for English, online games, and manipulatives for Maths. I always use colour.
My lessons are structured in chunks of learning to help engage the students.

I have many years of experience in Primary schools. I was a Senior Leader for many years and I taught Year 6 for a number of years, with outstanding SATs results.

I now enjoy working part time and tutoring.

I like to tutor at home where I have all my resources and a friendly environment set up. I invite parents to the first session with a cup of tea, and always offer the first session half price. It is possible to teach online too.
