My GCSE Biology lessons are friendly, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I aim to make Biology easier to understand by breaking down challenging topics into clear, manageable sections and using simple explanations, diagrams, real-life examples, and exam-style questions.
Each lesson can include a combination of teaching new concepts, reviewing topics, practising exam questions, and identifying areas that need more attention. I place a strong focus on exam technique, helping students understand how to structure answers, interpret questions, and use scientific terminology accurately.
I believe Biology should be enjoyable as well as educational. I encourage students to be curious, ask questions, share their ideas, and make connections between what they learn and the world around them. I adapt my teaching style to each student, recognising that everyone learns differently. My lessons are student-focused, supportive, and designed to build confidence as well as knowledge.
I have a medical background and have worked in the NHS as a medical secretary across multiple specialities. This has given me valuable experience of the healthcare environment and allows me to bring real-world medical examples into Biology lessons, helping students see how the subject connects to everyday life, health, and future careers.
Whether you need support with a difficult topic, want to improve your exam technique, or are preparing for your GCSE exams, I will work with you at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable.
My goal is not just to help memorise Biology, but to help you understand it, enjoy learning it, and feel confident applying your knowledge to unfamiliar questions. I want every student to finish a lesson feeling more confident, motivated, and proud of their progress.
