My lessons are friendly, structured and completely tailored to the individual student. I begin by identifying their current level, areas of confidence and any gaps in knowledge, then use this to create lessons that focus on where they can make the most progress.
I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across GCSE Combined Science and Separate Sciences, with particular experience teaching the AQA specification. I break difficult scientific concepts down into clear, manageable steps and adapt my explanations until the student feels confident with the topic.
Lessons combine teaching and explanation with retrieval practice, worked examples and GCSE exam-style questions. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, including understanding command words, applying knowledge to unfamiliar situations and learning how to structure answers to gain maximum marks.
I am an experienced science teacher and understand that students learn in different ways and at different speeds. My approach is patient and encouraging, while still challenging students to achieve their full potential.
Whether a student is struggling with Science and wants to build their confidence, needs support filling gaps in their knowledge, or is aiming for grades 7–9, I will tailor their tuition to their individual goals.
