As a fully qualified teacher of science I am well versed in adapting my provided content to the needs of my students in order to make learning accessible. After having helped several cohorts of pupils through their exam seasons I am incredibly familiar with exam structure and therefore the technique students need to master in order to achieve the highest possible grades. Due to this I put a heavy focus of exam technique rather than exclusively content learning. By focusing more on the application of knowledge, students will be able to engage fully and more confidently in those crucial end of year exams! This practice will aid pupils in all subjects, not just science and are needed throughout school! Rather than teaching my students to memorise content, I am teaching them to problem solve and think for themselves- crucial skills for adulthood!
Though this is a heavy focus for my lessons, I aim to cater every session to each individual to make learning specialised to their own needs and goals!
