I know what it takes to improve fast — I went from a C to an A* in my Biology mocks in just two months, so I understand how frustrating it can be to put in the hours and not see the results you expect. I have the right resources and proven techniques to help any student, no matter their starting point. Having recently completed my A-levels, I know exactly what the mark scheme requires and how to approach exams with precision. I don’t just tutor — I mentor. I understand how pressuring and limited time can feel, so I teach time-efficient methods that allow students to absorb information quickly while staying efficient. My goal is to help students become more resilient, organised, and adaptable learners who can excel in any exam. I believe every student has untapped potential, and my role is to bring it out by combining subject expertise with practical strategies for long-term success. My teaching style begins by reviewing corrections from previous homework. I then clearly explain new content using analogies and precise language, followed by rapid-fire questions to ensure the student has fully understood the material. Next, we look at exam questions, particularly analysing why the mark scheme uses specific language, what is required, and all the types of questions that can arise from the topic covered. Most importantly, I help the student identify patterns and key themes from this topic that are frequently applied to questions across other topics, ensuring they are prepared for any type of question the exam board may set. From this, I assign tailored, specific homework to continue developing these skills.
