I'm fortunate to have over twenty years of experience instructing others in Spanish. Though I prefer pure immersion, I use English if/when necessary for learners, as much as necessary. I make instruction learner-centered and context-based. My hope is to act as facilitator for the acquisition of a second language. As far as tutoring lessons, I tailor make them to fit the learner's needs and ambitions. I also inject instruction with personal experiences learning and communicating in Spanish as a native speaker of English. Learners have observed in their evaluations of my instruction that this helps them in their acquisition of language. Learners have also responded, similarly in assessment of my instruction, that my passion and sincerity for teaching and learning absolutely helps them to be successful in their linguistic development. As far as Spanish instruction, I've been teaching since 1998 and began teaching in high schools then went on to instruct at the academic level in community colleges and universities throughout the United States, including schools like Boston University, Marquette University, and the University of Florida.
