Samuel Orgel

I am a third-year physics student currently on track for a First-Class Honours degree, with experience tutoring both physics and mathematics. My style is focused on building a good understanding; I strongly believe that the best way to do well on exams is to achieve a comprehensive, rock-hard grasp of the material. I try to guide students into understanding the material in their own way, rather than relying on official 'textbook' explanations.

I am patient and will stay on the same topic until we are both 100% satisfied that you understand the topic. You never need to worry about "slowing me down"—I am here to help you move at whatever pace works best for you.

Once we’ve ensured that we’ve reached that level of understanding, I will usually work through some practice questions so you can see how to apply what you have learned to the types of questions that come up in an exam.

In my previous tutoring work with secondary students, I have focused on bridging the gap between classroom theory and exam-room performance. At the start of each lesson, I like to briefly go over material from previous sessions to help keep those topics fresh. Before exams, I also offer revision sessions where we can broadly cover a large amount of material together, ensuring we hit all the key points without getting stuck on any single area for too long.
