I have been an in person tutor for just over 2 years now, teaching Spanish and English. My lessons typically consist of a warm up structure, then a starting conversation to talk through a personalised plan and to obtain knowledge of your goals from the session/future sessions, then the main body of the lesson. Typically I will start with word to word translation activity, then I will ask questions relating to a specific topic, then we will delve deeper into your responses and talk about how to improve the language and tone overall, and discussing any grammatical issues.
We'll focus on real communication from day one. Lessons include speaking practice, useful vocabulary, grammar explained in a simple way, pronunciation, and listening exercises. I like to use real-life conversations, role plays, videos, and articles so you learn Spanish that people actually use.
I'm patient and encouraging, so don't worry about making mistakes- they're a normal part of learning. I'll give you clear feedback and help you build confidence while speaking naturally.
As someone who has learned languages myself, I understand the challenges learners face and know how to explain things in a way that's easy to understand. My goal is for every lesson to be enjoyable, practical, and leave you feeling more confident than when you started.
