My Spanish lessons are designed to be structured, supportive, and entirely focused on helping students succeed in their exams. I base my teaching on the specifications of major UK exam boards (GCSE and A-level), ensuring that every topic covered is relevant, purposeful, and aimed at boosting grades. I break down complex grammar and vocabulary into manageable steps, focusing on clarity, repetition, and confidence building.
Most of my experience comes from one-to-one private tuition, including working long-term with siblings, tailoring each session to the individual student’s level and learning style. I also volunteered with the charity The Access Project, where I supported students from underrepresented backgrounds to help them achieve the grades needed for university. This has reinforced the importance of adaptability, encouragement, and making academic progress accessible for every learner.
I believe language learning should be engaging as well as effective. I regularly incorporate elements of Spanish culture, history, and current affairs to make lessons more dynamic and memorable. As someone born and raised in Spain and educated in both Spain and the UK, I love sharing real-life cultural context that helps bring the language to life.
Above all, I aim to understand how each student learns best whether that's through conversation, visuals, writing, or structured revision and I adapt my teaching style accordingly. I also believe that teaching is a two-way process, and I continue to learn and grow alongside my students with every lesson.
