I make sure my students understand each lesson and I prioritise how they learn. If they are a visual learner, I use a lot of pictures and presentations and examples etc. I am not afraid to repeat lessons until they fully understand and can do it their own. I use prop cards and encourage my students to use them as all. If it’s their first language then I use simple words to make them understand easier. I also make sure to understand students body language whether or not they understand something and I ask them in private because I understand some students maybe embarrassed to say it out loud in front of others (if i am teaching in a group). I give them lots of time to practice before rushing onto next lesson because it’s important they understand each lesson and how to do them. I always use positive reinforcement and always encourage my students because I know when you encourage and praise your students they get eager to learn more and push to their potential and never get bored. I also play little games which helps them understand better and have fun at the same time because learning is fun! I make sure I become friends with my students as well as their teacher so that they feel comfortable and not scared to ask me questions about the lesson or any help they need. I give my students homework because it’s important to practice at home but I don’t over do it where they feel as if it’s a chore.
