Sam Lowe

I hold a Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature and Level 5 TEFL qualification. I have taught English since 2018 online and face to face for students all over the world. I am currently a community ESOL teacher, teaching adults practical English skills. I am a fun and compassionate teacher who strives to create a caring, safe environment where we can practice, celebrate our achievements, plan to overcome challenges and smash targets. Building confidence, and allowing students to guide their own learning journeys is an important part of my aproach to teaching. I give individual feedback and encourage students to create learning plans to ensure that they are making the most of study time both in and out of the classrooms. I regularly encourage students to think about their progress and how far they have come. I ensure that I create enjoyable and engaging activites, where students are practically engaging in the language to build all skills in a way that will serve them both in and out of the classrom. At the start of their learning journey, I encourage students to identify where they feel they need the most support, and focua on this while also working on all other skills simultaneously. I use a mixture of curriculum, text books and real life English materials such as articles, news and music for students to engage with in each lesson to ensure all of their aims are achieved, and classes are relevant to their real life experiences of engaging with English. hope to see you in a class soon!
