In our lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions and learn at their own pace. I typically teach online using screen sharing, and we write and test code together in real time using beginner-friendly languages like Python.

For complete beginners, we start with the fundamentals: variables, inputs, logic, and problem-solving. For high school students, I tailor lessons to match the National 5 or Higher Computing Science curriculum, covering key topics like programming constructs, data types, and exam practice. For those wishing to work on their own games / projects, I also offer help in explaining / improving existing material.

Each session is structured but flexible — I explain new concepts clearly, demonstrate examples, and then guide students as they try it themselves. I also set small, manageable homework challenges to reinforce what we’ve covered.

I have a BSc in Cognitive Science and over 20 hours of tutoring experience. I also achieved A grades in National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Computing Science. Whether you're aiming to pass an exam or just want to learn how to code, I’ll meet you where you are and support you each step of the way.
