This is organised by different topics, and following a verbal explanation of how to answer a question and the background knowledge for it we then do a question together in an exercise book slowly. This is repeated with another exemplar question collaboratively. I then set 2-3 questions for the student to do themselves but may ask for help if/when they need it....

This is organised by different topics, and following a verbal explanation of how to answer a question and the background knowledge for it we then do a question together in an exercise book slowly. This is repeated with another exemplar question collaboratively. I then set 2-3 questions for the student to do themselves but may ask for help if/when they need it. After this I will give them a couple more questions that they should complete independently and we mark it together and highlight where any errors may be. A few questions from that topic will be set for homework but not too much to overwhelm students with other priorities they have. This method is continued per topic and past paper questions are used to assess the students understanding of each topic so we can revisit weaker areas. Once topics are completed the student and I will work through past papers together and see their understanding.
