I like to keep lessons clear, relaxed and focused on what each student actually needs. I’ll first work out which topics they are confident with and which they find more difficult, then tailor the lesson around those areas. I focus on making sure students understand the ideas behind Chemistry rather than simply memorising facts. We’ll use worked examples and exam-style questions to put the knowledge into practice and improve exam technique. I’ll also encourage students to ask questions and think through problems themselves. My aim is to make Chemistry feel less intimidating while helping students become more confident and independent learners.
