The formula that I use that has worked with my students before to get grade 9s is the following:
I create PowerPoints that have the questions of the content the students don’t know BEFORE they learn it. The formula that I use that has worked with my students before to get grade 9s is the following:
I create PowerPoints that have the questions of the content the students don’t know BEFORE they learn it. This makes their brain more invested into remembering and USING the content we will learn during the lesson. There will always be a starter that has questions they have struggled with before, to keep it in their active memory. There will also always be a plenary where I ask students to TEACH me as if I was a young child, which is a popular concept that encourages memorisation and understanding. I review student’s working out during the lesson and give feedback and tips on how to work the most efficiently so that they are prepared for exams.
