I use activity base learning methodologies in which i can trailered the lesson in such a way that students can possibly visualise the topic.
I will use such terms and words which are easy and according to the level of students.
I try my best to bring the student to the real world.
I have engaged students in new content by
giving them a visual such as illustration, photograph, or artifact to get their minds ready for what they are about to learn. This can be especially powerful in science.
I have Create Lessons that are Open Ended. Open ended projects are nothing new, but they don't always feel comfortable to teachers
