My lessons are friendly, structured and interactive, with a strong focus on helping each child understand the topic rather than simply memorising answers. I begin by checking the child’s current level and identifying areas where they need support.

Lessons usually include a clear explanation of the topic, worked examples, guided practice and independent questions. For 11+ preparation, I can cover Maths, English, vocabulary, problem-solving and exam-style questions, including timed practice where appropriate.

I adapt the pace and difficulty according to each child’s needs and use encouragement and positive feedback to build confidence. My experience as a childminder and Cover Supervisor has helped me develop patience, good classroom-management skills and the ability to work with children with different learning styles.

I want every lesson to be a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills and confidence.
