I am to try and make lessons engaging and exciting, if a child prefers colours, then teaching maths with colour is the approach i will go with. I also think its useful when the student teaches you back so you know they have understood what they are doing or coming back to the topic after taking a break and letting them to do it. Fiurther to this maing lessons fun where students dont have to just stare at boring numbers, but instead for example using jumping number to number like you are on a horse etc is fun for primary students, in my opinion. So overall, makling lessons fun but also achieving them learning is the goal.
