I am a friendly, patient and supportive Maths tutor currently studying at the University of Birmingham. I enjoy helping students understand Maths in a clear and simple way and, most importantly, helping them become more confident in their own abilities.

I have hands-on tutoring experience supporting a GCSE Maths student throughout the academic year. During this time, I helped them work through challenging topics, practise questions, identify areas that needed improvement and prepare for exams. This experience has taught me the importance of being patient and adapting my explanations depending on how a student learns best.

My lessons are personalised to each student's individual needs and goals. At the beginning of a lesson, I like to understand which areas the student feels confident with and which topics they find more difficult. I then break challenging concepts down into smaller, manageable steps and work through examples together. Once the student understands the method, I encourage them to attempt questions independently while providing guidance whenever needed.

I can provide Maths support from Primary level through to A-Level, including homework support, revision, exam preparation and exam-style questions. I can cover topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, graphs, statistics, probability and problem-solving.

For students preparing for exams, I can also help them become familiar with exam-style questions, recognise common mistakes and develop their confidence when approaching unfamiliar problems.

I believe that making mistakes is a natural and important part of learning. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying different approaches.

My goal is to make Maths feel less intimidating, help students understand the topics they are studying and support them in making steady progress towards their academic goals.
