Hi there! I am passionate about biology and teaching others. With my educational background and experience, I am confident in my ability to provide engaging and effective lessons to help you succeed in your biology studies.

I hold an M.S. in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University, where I acquired an in-depth understanding of the intricate workings of the human body. Additionally, I obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland with a concentration in physiology and neurobiology. These academic pursuits have equipped me with a solid foundation in the field of biology, allowing me to teach and explain complex concepts in a simplified manner.

Throughout my academic journey, I have gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant and a tutor for introductory college biology courses. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to effectively communicate scientific ideas and adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. I am also comfortable teaching high school-level biology, making me a versatile instructor for students of different academic levels.

My areas of interest within biology are vast and encompass general biology, physiology, ecology, and evolution. In addition to my expertise in biology, I am currently taking a gap year before pursuing medical school. This gap year provides me with ample time to dedicate to tutoring, traveling, and volunteering. Having been a part of the Special Masters Program at Georgetown University, where I took medical school courses alongside medical students at Georgetown University School of Medicine, I can provide valuable insights and support in your pre-med journey.

Although I am based in Arlington, VA, I am well-equipped to conduct lessons online via Zoom. This allows for flexible scheduling and the convenience of learning from the comfort of your own space. However, if you prefer in-person sessions and happen to be in the area, I would be more than glad to arrange a meeting that suits your needs.
