I am a Physics undergraduate with a strong background in Maths, Physics, and Python programming. I tutor Maths, Physics, and beginner Programming, mainly for GCSE and A-level students, and I focus on making difficult ideas feel clear, manageable, and less intimidating.
My lessons are tailored to the student rather than following a fixed script. I usually begin by finding out what the student is struggling with, then break the topic down into simpler steps before building up to exam-style questions. I like to explain not just what method to use, but why it works, because that is what helps students deal with unfamiliar questions independently.
I have experience tutoring Maths over the course of the year, mainly at GCSE level, and I have worked with students with autism and ADHD. This has taught me the importance of being patient, flexible, and clear, as different students often need ideas explained in different ways. I aim to create a lesson environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and saying when something does not make sense.
For Maths, I can help with core skills, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, mechanics, and exam technique. For Physics, I focus on connecting the concepts to the equations so students understand the reasoning behind the subject. For Programming, I mainly teach Python and help beginners understand variables, loops, functions, debugging, and problem solving.
I am friendly, calm, and ambitious for my students. My goal is not just to help them get through homework or pass an exam, but to help them become more confident, independent learners.
