My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and involved in the learning process. With this in mind, I enjoy getting to know my students and their interests so I can make lessons more relatable, engaging, and suited to them.

I usually begin by identifying the student’s current strengths and areas for development, then build lessons around clear, achievable objectives. Depending on the subject and age of the student, lessons may include direct teaching and explanation, guided practice, discussion, activities, and independent work. I aim to keep lessons interactive rather than relying solely on worksheets or extended writing.

I have experience teaching students across a wide range of ages and abilities, including KS2 students, SEND learners, and students who benefit from additional academic or behavioural support. I am particularly experienced in English, literacy, writing, and Physical & Health Education.

My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build their confidence and develop effective learning habits they can use independently. I adapt the pace, level of challenge, and activities throughout each lesson based on the student’s progress and feedback.
