My lessons are structured, clear, and focused on helping students build confidence and understanding, especially in KS2 and KS3 subjects, as well as other subjects when needed. I aim to explain topics in a simple way, breaking them down into small, manageable steps so students can fully understand the key ideas before moving on to practice questions.
Each lesson follows a consistent format. We start by briefly reviewing previous work to strengthen understanding and identify any gaps. I then teach the main topic using clear explanations and worked examples. Students are encouraged to take part throughout the lesson using mini whiteboards, which allows me to check understanding quickly and correct any mistakes immediately. After that, we complete practice questions together before moving on to independent work to build confidence.
I also provide my own notes and resources, which students can use during and after lessons to support their revision. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s ability and learning pace, making sure the lesson is supportive and not overwhelming.
As a current GCSE student, I understand the challenges of learning at this level and aim to make lessons relatable and engaging. I focus on creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is an important part of learning.
