I am a postgraduate tutor specialising in GCSE and A-level Biology, and I also teach Mathematics at basic and GCSE level. My lessons are designed to build strong subject understanding while developing the exam skills needed to perform confidently in assessments.

For Biology, I focus on clarity and structure. Complex topics such as cell biology, genetics, physiology and homeostasis are broken down into logical steps, using clear explanations and visual support where helpful. I emphasise understanding key terms, processes and cause–effect relationships, rather than relying on rote memorisation.

Lessons are closely aligned with GCSE and A-level specifications and mark schemes. We regularly practise exam-style questions, analyse mark schemes together, and work on how to structure answers clearly and accurately. This helps students understand what examiners are looking for and how to avoid common mistakes.

For Mathematics, I support students at basic and GCSE level by strengthening foundations, improving problem-solving skills and building confidence. Lessons focus on clear methods, step-by-step reasoning and exam-style practice, helping students feel more secure with core topics such as algebra, percentages, graphs and problem-based questions.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s current level, goals and areas of difficulty. I regularly check understanding through questioning and short tasks, adjusting the pace as needed. Constructive feedback is provided throughout to help students identify gaps and make steady progress.

As a postgraduate student with a strong academic background, I aim to make lessons supportive, structured and effective, helping students gain confidence, improve exam performance and develop skills they can carry forward into further study.
