I teach students in the way that works best for me, and that helped me grasp mathematical concepts easily. I prioritise understanding and visualisation of methods, not just teaching off the specification. That way, students can use their newly developed skills with versatility.
My lessons will be personalised to best benefit the candidate. I understand my students' learning methods, so I can strategise their lesson plan. I will provide full support and take responsibility, and I genuinely have the best interests at heart in their improvement and becoming successful where it matters most.
Not everything is about studies; they are not the sole definition of an individual or their potential. However, GCSE and A-level students must build a strong foundation in subject understanding and application to be fully ready for a problem.
Maths is the beauty of the world, and there are many undiscovered truths to be told. I am ecstatic about the future it holds. I am keen on displaying this vast field to others with a true passion, so we can problem-solve together.
My lessons will be structured based on my students' requirements, with the difficulty varying depending on the comfort zone of my audience. Each lesson will focus on an applied topic, building the key skills required to be able to use the methods fluently in a wider understanding of the content. I will be happy to plan an introductory session, core building sessions, applied learning, consolidation and feedback, or even revision sessions and exam techniques close to those dreaded final exams in the summer. Whatever you want to make out of these lessons, I will fully encourage you to ask questions and show a keen interest, as that will help you achieve the most out of them.
I have some experience in the field of teaching. I lead maths clubs and societies during my free time with my sixth form to help students with an interest in developing their maths skills as early as possible, to benefit them in their future education.
