I adapt lessons to pupils’ individual needs, using previous SATs questions and targeted questioning to assess understanding and address misconceptions in real time. I use Voice21 Talk Tactics to develop pupils’ oracy and encourage them to explain and justify their thinking. In Science, I use online 3D models to make abstract concepts more accessible, supporting pupils in visualising structures and prompting them to ask questions beyond the lesson’s learning intentions. I also personalise learning around pupils’ interests to increase engagement, while using practical resources where appropriate to reduce cognitive load and support SEND learners. My teaching aims to develop both subject knowledge and confidence.
