As a newly certified English teacher with a passion for helping students achieve their language goals, I bring a 120-hour TEFL certification and specialised training in Business English, IELTS preparation, online teaching, and advanced grammar (each 30 hours). While I’m early in my formal teaching career, my diverse informal teaching experiences, global background, and tailored methodology make me well-equipped to deliver engaging and effective lessons for learners of all levels.


I currently run a regular conversational English class for Russian and Ukrainian students, focusing on building fluency and confidence in everyday communication. These sessions provide a supportive environment where learners can practice speaking, expand their vocabulary, and engage in real-life discussions relevant to their daily lives. This ongoing, conversational approach aligns with the best practices of community and online programs, emphasising practical language use and confidence-building through regular conversation.


Teaching Experience:

Alongside my regular classes for Russian and Ukrainian students, I have supported Vietnamese learners during my three years living in Asia, helping them improve their English for work, travel, and social interactions. In my 17-year career as a chef-including 10 years on mega yachts-I mentored a Sri Lankan sous chef, teaching him professional English and workplace communication skills to thrive in high-pressure, international settings. These experiences have honed my ability to adapt to diverse learners, explain complex concepts clearly, and foster a supportive learning environment.

For Business English, I draw on my hospitality background to create relevant scenarios. For IELTS, I focus on exam strategies and practice tasks. I emphasise active participation, regular feedback, and building confidence in a patient, supportive environment. My online teaching training ensures lessons are dynamic, using digital tools and multimedia resources. For beginners, I use clear explanations and visual aids, and I can clarify concepts in Spanish or basic French if needed. For advanced learners, I focus on nuance, cultural context, and fluency, enriched by my international experience.


Education & Background:

Beyond my TEFL and specialised certifications, my education is hands-on and global. My 17 years as a chef-in top London restaurants, on mega yachts, and during ski seasons in the French Alps-have developed my communication and mentoring skills in multicultural settings. Living in Asia and learning Spanish (fluent) and French (basic) have deepened my understanding of language learning and cultural sensitivity, which I bring to every lesson.
