Do you feel like a 'diluted' version of yourself when you speak English? Is your nervousness getting in the way?

Many of my clients feel they lose their personality, humour, confidence or authority when they switch languages. Even if they know what to say, they don't feel like themselves saying it.

I am a CELTA-qualified teacher with over five years' experience, a trained proofreader, and a native British English speaker. My aim is not simply to make your English more accurate – it is to help you *own* it.

How We Can Work Together

1. Coaching (Speak Naturally)

I approach our sessions with a dual focus:

As a teacher, I identify the gaps in your English that you might not notice yourself, and help you fill them.

As a coach, I work with the language you already have and build upon your strengths, so you can use the English you need for your life with genuine confidence.

2. Learning Inside and Outside the Session (Bring It Together)

For fluency, you need to be thinking in English, not just learning about it. We use real articles and videos from the English-speaking world to guide our sessions:

Before the session (Input): I send you a real article or video to watch or read ('food for thought'). This gives us something interesting to discuss later, and you see and hear natural English.

During the session (Fluency): We discuss the topic, look closely at the language, and practise real-world conversation. Because I am also a trained proofreader, we can also work on your real-life writing if you need – whether emails, presentations, or longer documents.

After the session (Practise & Build): I may suggest further reading (vital for vocabulary and spelling), or give you a short writing task so you can take the time to put your thoughts into clear English.

3. Dedicated Proofreading (Write With Authority)

If you need thorough proofreading outside of our coaching hours, I offer dedicated proofreading services to ensure your written English is grammatically flawless (please enquire for further information).
