Here’s a clear picture of what my lessons are like.

I tutor KS3 and GCSE online in a friendly, sociable way that keeps pupils relaxed and focused. In the first session we do a quick baseline chat and short task to spot strengths, gaps and goals. From there I plan a simple route: model it together, practise with support, then try it independently so progress is obvious.

A typical lesson blends:

short warm up to recall last week’s learning

live modelling on a shared doc or whiteboard

guided practice with prompts and sentence starters

a timed mini task using exam style questions

instant feedback and one clear target to take away

Content is tailored to what you need, from essay structure and analysis to close reading, vocabulary and planning under time. You may just need help memorising some quotes! I can recommend useful online resources for revision, we can use past papers and mark schemes so pupils think like an examiner, plus quick retrieval quizzes to make knowledge stick. I use plain English, concrete examples and lots of positive, specific feedback. If you would like homework, it will be light and purposeful, usually a 10 to 20 minute task.

I have classroom assistant and acting/performing experience, which makes me very confident and sociable means I explain ideas clearly, manage time well and keep sessions upbeat. Parents can get a short update on request. Lessons run after school or at weekends. I am available all day on Thusdays and Saturdays, and I am available on weekday evenings if convenient for you.
