With my teaching experience and educational background I have learned about the importance of independent learning. As opposed to providing strict lectures about the lesson in itself, my teaching methodology utilises activities that encourage the students to develop their free thinking skills and to form a unique understanding of the topic. These activities may vary and differ depending on the interests of the student. For example, in one of my previous classes, my students had a love of Korean idols, so in a debate class, I had 2 groups form arguments that prove their idol groups were better than their competitors. So I would also like to learn about the interests of my students so that I can improve the quality of my lessons, so that they may be more engaging as this would undoubtedly improve their engagement levels. Furthermore, although my experience lies in teaching children, my academic qualifications mean that I am capable of providing assistance with high level English. As a part of my studies, I have used English professionally in a Humanities conference, written numerous research essays and had assignments that worked with established journals to proofread published articles. So I am also able to provide assistance to students that may want to use English at a higher level, be it professionally or academically. Ideally, our first lesson should be about getting to know one another better, so that I can understand your current level and your goals.
