I am an experienced GCSE and A-Level Chemistry tutor with over 10 years of tutoring experience and a degree in Pharmacology. I have worked with students across a wide range of abilities, from those who need additional support with the fundamentals to students aiming for the highest grades.

My lessons are completely tailored to the individual student. I begin by identifying their strengths, areas for improvement and any gaps in knowledge, before creating lessons around their specific needs and exam board. I break difficult Chemistry concepts down into clear, manageable steps and use worked examples, diagrams and practice questions to reinforce understanding.

Exam technique is a key part of my teaching. Alongside learning the content, students practise past-paper and exam-style questions so they understand how to interpret questions, approach calculations, use appropriate scientific terminology and structure answers to gain marks.

I also have experience tutoring neurodivergent students, including students with ADHD and autism. I understand that every student learns differently, so I am happy to adapt the pace, structure and teaching methods of lessons to help each student get the most from their sessions.

I aim to make my lessons relaxed, patient and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable telling me when they do not understand something rather than feeling pressured to keep up. My goal is not only to improve exam performance, but to help students become more confident and independent in Chemistry.
