Roj Naqshbandi

I have previous teaching experience from my home country, Kurdistan, where I had the opportunity to help and teach students in a supportive and friendly environment. I am fluent in both Kurdish and English, which allows me to communicate with students from different backgrounds and explain ideas in a clear and understandable way.

I would describe myself as a patient, calm, kind, and approachable person. I understand that every student learns differently, and I believe it is important to take the time to understand each student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas where they may need more support. I do not believe that struggling with a subject means someone cannot succeed. I strongly believe that anyone can achieve their goals if they are given the right support, encouragement, and motivation.

My teaching approach is based on making lessons comfortable, engaging, and enjoyable. I encourage students to ask questions and never feel embarrassed about getting something wrong, as mistakes are an important part of learning. I aim to explain topics step-by-step and use different methods depending on what works best for the student.

Music is also an important part of my life. When I was in primary school, I was selected to take part in a music competition involving students from across Glasgow. This experience helped me develop my confidence, discipline, creativity, and ability to perform in front of others. I can also play multiple musical instruments and have a strong interest in both listening to and playing music.

I hope to use my experience, patience, and passion for learning to help students build their confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy their education.
