Hi! I’m currently studying Law at the University of Leeds and achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Sociology and an A at A-Level. I offer personalised tutoring for GCSE and A-Level Sociology, designed to not only boost exam performance but also help students truly engage with the subject.

My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, aiming to meet each student where they are in their learning journey. I break down complex theories and concepts in a way that’s easy to understand, then gradually build up the analytical and evaluation skills needed for higher-mark answers.

How I Teach:
• Concept-First Learning: I start with clear explanations of the key sociological theories, thinkers, and concepts (like Marxism, Functionalism, Feminism), using simple language and real-world analogies.
• Exam Technique: We focus on how to apply theory to exam questions, including how to structure and 30-mark answers using PEEL/PEAC paragraphs and embedded evaluation.
• Active Learning: I incorporate regular low-stakes quizzes, mini-essays, and verbal walkthroughs to test understanding and memory—especially useful for topics like Crime and Deviance or Education.
• Real-World Application: I use current events, legal case studies, and sociology/legal blog content to connect academic material to real-life debates, helping students think critically and make their essays stand out.
• Feedback-Driven Progress: I guide students through model answers and provide detailed feedback on their writing so they can clearly see where to improve.

My sessions are designed to build confidence over time—whether you’re aiming to secure a pass or push for a top grade. I also provide resources tailored to the AQA Exam Board including revision checklists, sample essays, and topic summaries.
