My wide knowledge of contemporary art practices, strategies and styles allows me to provide insight and advice for any artist. As a practitioner I fully recognise the problems and questions that arise in trying to create and structure ones knowledge of self, mediums, approach outcomes and points of public contact. I offer insightful critique and potential directions, as well as as in-depth technical advice. I can act as a responsive sounding-board for your ideas, am a good listener and am adept at seeing the gaps in approach or technique that might be holding you back, and then providing apt strategies for development. Once a connection is established I can lead development through constructive critique of your current/past work and using my extensive purview and experience to help you seek and find appropriate sources of stimulation. i am enthusiastic for every student and my aim is always for you to enjoy a confidence-boosting session . I enjoy meeting all sorts of art practitioners irrespective of medium or content as I am interested more in the personal ethos and understanding that art can cultivate - and it is this that I seek to inculcate and expand. Initially I create sequences of topics to cover and plan lessons accordingly, along mutaually agreed lines of enquiry. I look forward to meeting you and your work and together we can progress. My 10 years teaching experience gives me a skill-set that can be utilised to reinforce strengths, identify any weak areas that should be addressed and to then carefully monitor your progress so that your work means more to you, becomes more fulfilling on a mental and physical level leading to better more informed and fully rounded practices.
