I have tutored about 50 or 60 students, for varying amounts of time, N5 and Higher French ( Scotland Syllabus), as well as GCSE, A Level, and Casual French to Adult Leaners.
I have tutored English and French since 2007, so that's 19 years.
If you go to the Linktree link on my Facebook page (@RodScott EFL Eng & ~French Tutor) you will see all the references available from parents and students.
The way I tutor is not the way I used to teach. I have to ask a lot of questions to establish what students are finding trouble with- there is usually a barrier to learning. If a student is coming to French (or English) to learn from scratch, that's a different story. We begin with the basics.
Functional language is everyday language- we need to learn how to ask for simple things, and interact in each language.
On Zoom, there will be no great difference in the learning- but we need to be working with the same texts, with the same focus, with the same targets- I would want to work on what your targets are.
Et voilà! Les leçons commencement: On Y Va!
