I have taught over 40 online tutoring lessons before, combining interactive teaching with detailed explanations and example questions where needed. I take a pupil-oriented approach, as I know from my own studies that everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace. My lessons are typically an hour long, aimed at GCSE and A-level students who need some extra support, whether that be for general understanding or in preparation for exams.
A general lesson of mine will have the following format: Initial teaching and practice using PowerPoint/worked example questions, followed by targeted question practice from textbooks, and finally some exam practice paper questions to reinforce the learning in an exam context.
Whether it's some tricky statistics, a complicated chemical mechanism, or you just can't get your head around astronomy, my lessons will focus on coming up with different ways to explain a problem, so that we can find the way that works best for you to understand. I'm dedicated to turning anything you find hard into something that comes naturally to you, and then you might see how enjoyable STEM subjects can really be!
