My lessons are lively, structured, and carefully designed to help students make real progress while enjoying the learning process. Each lesson follows a clear format, beginning with a short warm-up activity to build confidence and activate language, followed by focused skill development and plenty of guided practice. Lessons always include opportunities for speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a strong emphasis on using English accurately and confidently.
All lessons are fully bespoke. I take time to understand each learner’s needs, goals, and school curriculum, and I adapt lesson content accordingly. I work with students from beginner level through to advanced academic English, including Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language, IELTS, and GCSE German. For exam-focused learners, lessons include targeted exam strategies, practice tasks, and clear feedback to help students improve performance and confidence.
I bring over 30 years of teaching experience in UK and international education, and I am known for building excellent rapport and a positive, supportive learning environment. I design my own interactive PowerPoint materials to keep lessons engaging, varied, and visually clear, and I encourage active participation throughout.
Lessons are dynamic, encouraging, and supportive, with clear learning goals and regular review of progress. I also place strong importance on communication with parents, providing regular updates and guidance so everyone feels informed and confident. My aim is always to help learners develop independence, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed both academically and beyond the classroom.
