Each student begins with an intake session to build rapport and understand their background, goals, and challenges. I then carry out a needs analysis to identify key areas for development, such as motivation, confidence, organisation, or stress management. From there, I create a case formulation to connect these needs with psychological principles and practical strategies. Together, we choose and plan interventions—for example, goal-setting exercises, mindfulness techniques, or time-management tools—tailored to the student’s preferences and learning style. During lesson delivery, I use interactive discussions, reflection tasks, and evidence-based methods from sport and performance psychology to build engagement and self-awareness. Finally, progress is monitored collaboratively, with regular feedback and adjustments to ensure the student feels supported, motivated, and empowered to apply their learning beyond our sessions.
