I aim to design my lessons in a way that is engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I would begin with a short review of material that is typically taught at that point in schools to reinforce understanding and build confidence. From there, I introduce new content using examples that are build in difficulty. I aim to keep explanations simple at first, before gradually increasing this complexity as the student becomes more comfortable. I try to connect lessons to real-life situations where possible, making learning more meaningful and memorable.

I aim to focus more on an interactive rather than lecture-based, with the session always being open to questions at any time! I would regularly check their understanding through quick exercises or discussions. This helps me adjust the pace and focus of the lesson in real time, while incorporating different activities which exemplify different “techniques” of learning (this involves utilising past papers, mind maps, mnemonics, analogies, etc), in order to be find the right method for my student!

Overall, my aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of making steady progress.
