My lessons are very much dictated by the needs of pupils and their aspirations. They can be game orientated, confidence building, and may include routine practice depending on the aspiration of the pupil and purpose of the tutoring.

I foster a high challenge, low stakes culture where effort and thought are valued, and mistakes are safely used as learning opportunities.

I like sessions to be fun but productive. I value active learning where pupil is engaged with the learning and independently practising new learning. I engage pupils in a lot of problem solving activities.

For pupils preparing for exams I will include a strong focus on targeted exam style tasks.
