My lessons are practical, conversational, and designed to make data feel far less intimidating. Rather than teaching statistics as an academic subject, I focus on helping people understand what their data is really telling them and how to make better decisions with confidence.

Sessions combine explanation, discussion, worked examples, and hands-on exercises using real-world scenarios from business, operations, customer service, healthcare, finance, and project environments. Learners are encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and apply ideas directly to their own work situations.

I teach live online using Microsoft Teams and modern digital collaboration tools, creating an interactive and supportive learning environment. Concepts are explained in plain English, with minimal jargon and no unnecessary mathematics. The emphasis is always on practical understanding rather than memorising formulas.

My approach is heavily influenced by the work industry expert Dr. Donald J. Wheeler and focuses on understanding variation, interpreting performance over time, and avoiding common management mistakes caused by poor interpretation of data.

I have over 25 years’ experience in training, coaching, consulting, and continuous improvement across sectors including finance, manufacturing, public sector, technology, transport, and professional services. I am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, apprenticeship coach, and experienced trainer of process improvement, project management, and statistical process control methods.
