I have considerable experience teaching in many subject areas, such as English, Maths and Physics,
to a wide range of students, from ages of 5 years old to 15 years old, all with varying levels of ability.
Recognising the students’ individual needs, paired with that of the class group, I have helped my
past students excel in their studies by finding the perfect balance between dividing my attention
equally and addressing the group as a whole. As well as this, I exhibit a tutor style that focuses not
just on the academics, but the overall enjoyment of learning, and so I grasp and hold students’
interest and attention throughout the course work to ensure a longevity to the material learned.
That being said, I have no problem adjusting my tutoring style to match the learning style of my
students as I know how important it is that a student feels confident in their work and know how to
approach a problem from multiple angles.
Given that I am currently studying Physics in University College Dublin, I can also use my own
education and experience with problem solving and objective thinking to provide a tutoring
environment that helps the students thrive. This experience, coupled with my love for teaching
makes me the ideal candidate for the role, as I not only have a clear passion for the subject matter,
but I would undoubtedly bring an unmatched enthusiasm to the role.
