I aim to make my lessons welcoming, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you are preparing for GCSE English, improving your writing, developing reading comprehension, building confidence in speaking, or learning English as an additional language, I will adapt the lessons to help you reach your goals.
As someone who learned English as an additional language myself, I understand that learning can sometimes feel intimidating. I know the challenges of building vocabulary, understanding grammar, and gaining the confidence to communicate. Because of this, I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe this is an important part of learning.
I also have experience supporting SEND learners and designing educational workshops, which has taught me that every student learns differently. I enjoy finding creative ways to explain concepts and adapting my teaching style to suit different abilities and learning preferences, especially as I come from an artistic background, connecting subjects of each student's interest to their lessons is my speciality.
My lessons can include a mixture of conversation practice, reading activities, writing exercises, grammar support, and exam preparation, depending on what the student needs. I like to use real-life examples and interactive tasks to keep lessons interesting and enjoyable. We can also review past exam papers together, where I can make the student understand the structure necessary for answering questions with flying marks.
My goal is not only to help students improve their English skills but also to build their confidence, encourage curiosity, and help them become independent learners who feel proud of their progress.
