About me

I am an experienced Biology teacher of 10 years. I also wrote questions in this years Qualifications Scotland exam, and mark the exam and assignment. I also created the current Biology quizzes on the BBC Bitesize website as an Educational Consultant.

In lessons I use different questions to check for understanding and uncover misconceptions. I teach the ideal wording of exam answers in order to maximise marks, and can explain common mistakes made in the exam and how to avoid these. I am passionate about Biology as well as teaching, and love sharing my hints and tips to build confidence and help pupils achieve their full potential. I use things like pneumonics and acronyms as well as showing model answers which all help learning to stick.
