My lessons are friendly, calm, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I focus on building confidence first, as I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable and supported.
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up activity or review of previous learning. We then move on to the main focus of the session, such as reading, spelling, basic maths, or homework support. I use simple explanations, visual examples, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging and easy to understand.
I aim to keep lessons positive and encouraging, with plenty of praise and patience. If a child finds something difficult, I break it down into smaller steps so they can experience success and build confidence.
I have experience working with children of different ages through my childcare background, where I supported learning, reading, and everyday educational activities. This has helped me develop a patient, nurturing approach and good communication skills with both children and parents.
My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and enjoy learning at their own pace.
