the gas laws of B...
Step-by-step
Step 1 of 1
Partial pressure of CO2 = 5.45 GPa
Intial Presure of gas P 1 = 21.51GPa
Intital temprature T 1 = 485.6°C
=( 485.6+273)K
=758.6K
When temprature become T 2 = 310°C
= (310+273)K
= 583K
Suppose pressure is P 2
According to Gaylussac law
P T (at constant volume)
Then
P 1 /P 2 = T 1 /T2
21.51GPa/ P 2 =758.6K/ 583K
P 2= 16.53GPa
Total pressure at 310°C = 16.53GPa
Mole fraction = no of moles of CO2 / total no of moles of gases
There is 4 mole of N2 and 4 mole of H2O gas after explosion
Mole fraction of CO2 = (4/(4+4+4) ) =0.33
According to daltons law
Partial pressure of CO2 = 0.33× 16.53
= 5.45 GPa
I always improve myself whenever need to provide better solution to student and motivate to increse interst
