I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience, currently teaching in Key Stage 1.
I also have experience tutoring children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including pupils with a range of additional needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and autism.
I believe every child deserves a cheerleader – someone who understands how they learn best, celebrates their achievements and helps them grow in confidence. Building positive relationships is at the heart of my teaching, and I take time to get to know each child as an individual so that sessions can be tailored to their unique strengths, needs and interests.
My tutoring approach is calm, nurturing and personalised. I create engaging lessons that place the child at the centre of their learning, using encouragement, carefully scaffolded challenge and meaningful activities to inspire curiosity and develop independence.
Whether a child needs support to close gaps, build confidence in core skills, prepare for SATs, or be stretched further academically, I adapt each session to help them make steady progress and experience success.
I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions and celebrate every step forward. For me, tutoring is about much more than academic progress – it is about helping children develop the confidence and self-belief they need to thrive and grow into a happy and successful young learner.
