Rachel Marshall

I am a qualified mining engineer who has traveled the world working in countries such as Australia, Kazakhstan, Sierra Leone, Mali, Ivory Coast and Guinea. My work has involved planning the mining operations, including the mine design, scheduling and 3D modelling using CAD computer systems. I have mentored junior engineers, including training them on computer systems in order to upskill the local workforce and give young engineers a brighter future. I enjoy being able to share knowledge with others as it gives me a great sense of satisfaction. I now have a young family in the UK and am looking for a more flexible role. My two children have been my biggest lesson of all; teaching me to become a very patient, thoughtful and compassionate person who really thinks about how other peoples mind is working before I react or engage with them.
