Zara Malik

I’m Zara, a Mathematics teacher with 14 years of teaching experience. I enjoy helping students who feel stuck, nervous about Maths, or simply want to improve their grades. I believe that Maths becomes much easier when it is explained clearly, patiently, and step by step.

I hold a Master’s degree in Statistics, awarded with a Gold Medal, as well as a Master’s in Education with Distinction in Educational Management. I teach GCSE, IGCSE, Further Mathematics, Cambridge O Level, IB MYP, American, and Canadian Mathematics courses. I also prepare students for AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and CAIE examinations.

Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to your level, learning style, and goals. At the beginning, I identify the areas that need the most support. Then, we work through them using clear explanations, worked examples, diagrams, and plenty of practice. You can ask questions freely, and I will explain a topic in a different way until it makes sense.

My lessons are friendly, organised, and focused on real progress. We do not just memorise methods. We work on understanding why a method works, so you can confidently solve unfamiliar questions on your own. For exam preparation, I use targeted revision, past papers, timed practice, and feedback on common mistakes.

Over the years, I have helped students improve from 55% to over 80%, raise GCSE predicted grades, and build confidence in topics they once found difficult. I especially enjoy working with students who think they are “not good at Maths,” because with the right support and regular practice, they can make excellent progress.
