My lessons are delivered online, either 1-to-1 or in small groups, and typically run 1–2 hours depending on what suits you best. I tailor every session to the student's goals — whether that's building strong foundations or developing more specialised skills.

I teach design fundamentals including typography, colour, layout, the creative process, and how to interpret a brief, alongside practical software training in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Figma (please note: you'll need your own software licence to take part). Lessons combine clear presentation of concepts with set tasks and dedicated feedback sessions, so you're always applying what you learn rather than just absorbing theory.

Every course is structured around you: before we start, I'll take the time to understand where you're currently at and what you want to achieve, then build a plan around that. For beginners, this might mean starting with the core principles of design and getting comfortable navigating the software. For more advanced students, we can dive straight into specific projects — developing a brand identity, refining a portfolio piece, or tackling a particular brief you're working on. Throughout, I give honest, constructive feedback aimed at helping you understand why something works, not just what to change, so the skills stick beyond our sessions together.

I welcome students at all levels, from complete beginners to those working at university standard — my teaching draws on 12 years as a professional designer and 6 years lecturing at university level. I specialise in branding, with additional experience across digital and print design, giving me a broad perspective I bring into every lesson.

My approach is grounded in a 'design for good' methodology and ethical design thinking, and I'm passionate about helping students reach their creative potential, whatever that looks like for them.
